Trades more than this time frame may or may not be scalp trades considering the other factors such as spike in trading volume, low trading Profit/loss, trading around releases only, trades remain open for less period of time etc,) or trades that are closed below average or current spreads. There exists no justifiable rationale for opening and closing trades with differences less than the average 5 or 15 minute move if you are trading with a 5 or 15 minute time frame. This filter will apply corresponding to the data used in comparing the size of your trade(in pips) and the market volatility data. Anything less than the average move (adjusted for the spread applicable in your account) is a scalp trade. Anything closed in less than 320 seconds is a scalp trade. Any collection and succession of trades that are just being opened and closed in a short period (especially in blocks of multiple lots) are most probably rebate churners.

A scalper looks to make a large number of trades, taking advantage of the small price movements which are common throughout the day. While scalping attempts to capture small gains, such as 0 to 20 pips per trade, the profit on these trades can be magnified by increasing the position size;
- scalping involves buying and selling currencies, typically with a brief holding time and with multiple trades taken each day.
- scalpers keep risk small in an attempt to capture small price movements for a profit. The small price movements can become significant amounts of money with leverage and large position sizes.
- scalpers typically use promotional forex accounts, as using a normal account will put them at a disadvantage.
- leverage, spreads, fees, and slippage are all risks that the scalper needs to control, manage, and account for as much as possible.

[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”What happens if there is a gap at the moment of order execution?”]
Your order will be executed at the next available price after it is submitted.
[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”What happens if the transaction is executed on a non-market quote/spike?”]
If the spike is clearly established as an error, the trade will be cancelled once the bad tick is notified and removed.
[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”What should I do if the EA cannot open or close a position and the error message “Invalid price” is repeatedly displayed?”]
You need to check the EA’s settings to be sure it is not specifying an impossible market condition. You would also need to check if there is some error with the market quote on the platform.
[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”How frequent is slippage?”]
Slippage is usually set to 0 as a default. So if the price changes by even 1 unit after you submit your order, you will see a message asking you whether you want to accept a changed price. Therefore, unless you specify a tolerance level in the “trader range” field in the order ticket, your executed trades will not have any slippage.
[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”What are the operating principles of the Trailing Stop? Will Trailing Stop work when my computer is switched off?”]
A trailing stop is a special type of trade order where the stop-loss price is not set at a single, absolute dollar amount/price, but instead is set at a certain distance from the market price. When the price goes up/down, it drags the trailing stop along with it, but when the price stops going up/down, the stop-loss price remains at the level it was dragged to. Trailing Stop will remain valid even when your computer is switched off.
[/dt_sc_toggle][dt_sc_toggle title=”At what distance from the price can Stop Loss / Take Profit orders be placed?”]
The minimum distance to place a stop/profit order depends on the bid/ask price. The stop/profit order has to be higher/lower than the ask/bid price respectively, depending on the trade being opened
